Sporting Judo Club ALBA (SJCA) is based in Clydebank & Glasgow.
With a successful history and pedigree, numerous Scottish & British Champions, several Commonwealth Games Medallists, a Youth Olympic Champion, a World Schoolboys Champion, an Sydney Olympics Contender. The club’s membership is flourishing at about 400 members, ranging from kids, at 4 years upwards to youths and senior competitors.

Judo is an excellent activity for boys and girls of all ages as it helps develop co-ordination, balance, fitness, flexibility and most importantly self-confidence. SJCA’s goals are to help children learn the art of judo, not just the combat. We also want them to grow up fit and healthy, learning in a fun manner, but also aware of the judo culture, respect, courtesy, and honour. They will even learn some Japanese!

The long-term development of children is very important to us.
The classes are well structured to help every child reach their potential and where possible, their aspirations. Adults of all abilities, ladies and gents are all welcome to join in. Have a look at the class timetable to see what class suits you?

The SJCA motto is "Enjoy life, Enjoy sport, Enjoy your judo”
